2024 PMI HAWAII CHAPTER ANNUAL AWARDS
PROJECT MANAGER OF THE YEAR

Each year the Hawaii Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI) seeks to acknowledge Project Management (PM) professionals and organizations for outstanding performance in the field. Nominations and awardees may come from any industry.
The call for nominations starts in the Summer-Fall and selection of winners is conducted by impartial Chapter Leaders and/or PM Professionals within PMI external to the Hawaii Chapter. Finalists will be announced on Monday, October 28, 2024 and the winners and runner-ups will be announced at the PMI Hawaii Chapter Annual Lunch/Dinner on Friday, November 15, 2024.
All nominees as well as individuals who submit nominations receive a free invitation to the event to witness the presentation of awards and honor the winners.

AWARDS CRITERIA
Project of the Year
The nominated project must be based in Hawaii. The Project Owner/Sponsor or Client company may be a national or international company with a Hawaii office and/or project.
The criteria focuses on a common-sense understanding of an impressive project:
- A significant mission
- Well-coordinated efforts
- Significant challenges overcome
- Best practices employed
- Faithful achievement of anticipated scope, schedule, and cost.
Evaluations are based not only on a nomination form but also project artifacts as a project charter, schedule, risk register, and lessons learned for each candidate project.
Project Manager of the Year
The nominee must be based in Hawaii. The nominee's organization or client may be national or international, with Hawaii office(s)/project(s). The nominee does NOT need to be a PMI Hawaii Chapter member.
The Criteria focuses largely on:
- Outstanding performance
- Team leadership
- Best practices
- Advancement of profession

**Any nominations received after the deadline may be submitted to judges for consideration at the discretion of PMI Hawaii Chapter. The judges will be informed that the nomination was received late and will factor that into the scoring process.
