Complexity is a characteristic of projects that make it challenging for us to understand, plan, execute, and control. Complexity can arise from various sources, such as the project scope, stakeholders, environment, uncertainty, interdependencies, and emergent behavior.

In this presentation, I explore the concept of complexity and its implications for project management. I discuss the different types, factors, and models of project complexity, and how they affect the project performance, risks, and outcomes. I will also share some best practices and strategies for managing complex projects. I use examples from real-world projects that have faced complexity challenges and how they have overcome them.

Understanding how to manage complexity is essential to driving positive change in projects. The objective of this presentation is to encourage and inspire you to embrace complexity and leverage it as an opportunity for learning and innovation.

Learning Objectives:
- identify and assess the sources and impacts of complexity on the project and the organization;
- develop and implement effective communication and engagement strategies to inform, involve, and influence stakeholders;
- monitor and evaluate the progress and outcomes of a project or change initiative; and to
- facilitate and support the learning and adaptation processes that are required to manage complexity in a project environment.
